Children's Ministry

We are excited for True North to take place from July 27th to July 31st. At True North, kids discover what it means to trust Jesus in a wild world! Kids participate in memorable Bible learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible Adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of Jesus’ love, and test out science-y fun experiments they’ll never forget. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. All children that are currently age 3 to grade 5 are welcome to join us each night from 6:00-8:30 pm. Register here and invite your friends! The nursery is open to any child pre-k and younger during the 10am service.  It is staffed by our loving nursery workers. They are currently taking a break for the summer and will resume staffing the nursery in the fall.

Discovery Club meets on Sunday evenings. Kindergarten through 4th graders meet and continue to discover more about God in small groups. Our children engage in music, crafts, stories, games and service during this time.  We welcome any new friends to come and join us on Sundays from 5:00-6:30 PM.

As a bridge from Discovery Club to SNL Youth Group, BOND is a program for just 5th and 6th graders. It meets almost every week on Sunday evenings to connect students with each other, adult leaders, and God. BOND has a strong focus on serving together in the community (monthly trips/projects) while learning about Christian practices to help them make the physical and spiritual transition from childhood to adolescence.

First UMC is offering an After School Program on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during the school year from 3:30-5:30 pm. Derry Township Elementary students in K-5th grade are eligible to apply.
