• Youth Meatloaf Dinner Fundraiser
  • The youth group will be holding a meatloaf dinner fundraiser on May 3rd from 11am-1pm. Adults are $15 and children ages 8 and under are $10. 
  • The dinner served is homemade meatloaf, mac n cheese, green beans, salad, dessert and drink.  
• Mission Central Activity Kit Collection
  • During the month of May, we are collecting items for the Activity Kits for Students.
  • We are collecting children’s scissors, composition books, spiral notebooks (8 x 10.5 inches), and 12” rulers, with both inch and centimeter measurements.
  • These items will then be delivered to Mission Central in Mechanicsburg. A display table of these items and a collection tub for your donations are in the Narthex.  Thank you for your generosity.
• Farewell Reception & Gift 
  • The Pastoral Transition Team is planning a Farewell Reception for Pastor Jenn and Pastor Lew on Sunday, May 31 following each worship service. 
  • We are reaching out to the congregation to ask if you would like to contribute towards a farewell gift for each of them. If so, you can make a check out to the church and note whether the gift is for Pastor Jenn or Pastor Lew. If you combine both gifts in one check, be sure to note the dollar amount for each of them on the check. 
  • The check can be mailed to the church or placed in the Sunday offering. 
  • In addition, you have the option to contribute online by going to the website https://firstumchershey.churchcenter.com/giving. Be sure to select the Retirement Account for Pastor Jenn or Pastor Lew.

• Seeking Testimonies for Pentecost Celebration
  • Pastor Jenn is putting together a collection of videos and statements regarding “Why First Hershey is your church.” Submissions will be used for a celebration on Pentecost, the birthday of the church, on May 24th, 2026. If you would be willing to submit a video or a brief writing, please do so by May 18th and upload to this link: Why First Hershey is your church.

  • Registration is now open for the First UMC After School Program for the 2026-2027 school year. 
  • The program is open to Derry Township elementary school students.
